The Code Room: Vegas?

Why programmers and game shows don't mix

Rory is one of those amazing guys who somehow manages to show up on the radar. Rory could go out for a walk and post about mutant cockroaches and still end up the top Google hit for the word "Cockroach". Whether it is being co-host for .NET Rocks! or working on The Code Room, we are better for it, or at least we get a few laughs out of his involvement. </endOfSuckUpToRory>

So it is with regret that I must inform you Rory is no longer involved in The Code Room. You may have noticed as I did that he did not provide details as to the reason he is no longer a part of the "Wizards vs. Wizards" bastard step child that is The Code Room. If pressed he will say it was creative differences. And by creative differences I mean Rory wanted the show to be about a group of coders shipwrecked on a strange island where they had to solve various coding problems in order to get food each week, otherwise they ate one of their members. Regrettably the show was taken another direction and Rory left in protest after stealing as many bathrobes and complimentary slippers he could get his hands on.

Seriously, only uber-geeks could derive satisfaction from watching other people solve a coding problem posed to them in a game show fashion. There has to be some sort of a hook to get most people to watch.

Possible hooks:

I'll let you figure out which one they went with... I am personally hoping a mistake was made and the coders had to pay up.
